Our enthusiastic and experienced core team is complemented by longstanding relationships, many extending for well over a decade, with the best trades and suppliers.

Meticulous attention to detail, dedication to delivering optimum results and the drive to exceed our clients’ expectations, every time, is at the heart of our business.

We believe that the building process is as crucial as the end result. From concept to completion, we strive to create a collaborative, enjoyable and rewarding experience for our clients.

Martin Schmidt

Boss

The ‘brains and looks behind the company’, modest Marty loves to over research everything and always has a side project going. He is passionate about The Board and playing any sport that involves a ball.

Marty loves a busy job and a fussy tradie. He is obsessed with ensuring a house is built to last a lifetime but believes that a successful project is about the whole process, not just the end result.

‘Working with a great client is more important than working on a great project’.

Cheech Barker

Carpenter

Cheech is the happiest and most positive person on site. She brings a smile to work every day, and the perfect balance to the team. Cheech challenges herself to ensure standards are always high. She enjoys working with other subbies and trades, and they love working with her.

Cheech loves an insta post, Burger Friday and her rugby. In fact, when she’s not playing rugby, she’s talking about rugby. But that’s fair enough, given she plays for both the Waratahs and Australia.

Matt Higham

Apprentice

A fan of a tight shirt and a chat over a beer, Matt always aims high. Whether it’s him joking that he’s the best-looking on site… to his proven skill for fishing, skiing, playing soccer and touch footy, Matt can do it all.

He may have proclaimed himself the ‘Best Apprentice Ever’, but Matt really is like a sponge when it comes to learning. A project manager in the making – Matt is keen to master his own trade, while understanding every other.

Guy Davis

Site Manager

Guy is easy to find on site, just following the sound of someone singing at the top of their lungs! Never a man to be shy Guy loves performing, just ask his wife or new dog Shadow! Guy is in charge when Marty is not on site, he’s never stressed, always up beat, and helps work through any problem. Clients love him, subbies respect him, and Marty can’t get enough of him!

Nick Kellie

Site Manager

Nick is one of the nicest guys you’ll meet, but when he’s in charge, he runs a tight ship. Nick tackles the challenging projects head on. He’ll take that extra hour to complete the job, just to ensure every detail is to the highest standard.

When he’s not on site, you’ll find Nick busy with his toys and enjoying the great outdoors. Ask him about his ute, drone, bike or tools… he’s also a keen sailor, skier and loves to go camping.

Jack Dixon

Carpenter

Jack has over a decade of carpentry and remedial works experience. He always has a smile on his face and is happy to work with anyone, on any task. Despite Jack’s easy going nature, he works hard to get the job done right.

Jack loves the beach in summer and skiing in winter. Whatever the code or season, Jack is your go-to man for all the highlights from the latest weekend of sport, though a particular standout would have to be the AFL and his beloved Swannies.

Hans Schmidt

Baumeister (Build Master)

The unofficial spiritual leader of the company, Hans loves a deep and meaningful chat to anyone when he gets a chance. The toughest men have been known to walk away in tears. Spare five minutes for him to look into your soul…

When a problem can’t be solved, Hans is called. With over 50 years of experience, Hans has seen every scenario but states, ‘I can fix every problem because I have made every mistake’. If Hans can’t solve it, it can’t be fixed!

Lea & Parker Schmidt

The Board

When they aren’t setting tough deliverables for the team, they can be found doing arts and crafts, waking their parents up too early, and asking why!

Marty has come away from many a board meeting broken and exhausted! Their ability to get what they want consistently is remarkable. It’s a shame they use this to get toys and lollies only!

Their presence on site is always welcome, but the knowledge they can’t be sacked is evident.

Luke Wilson

Site Manager

In addition to being a proud new dad, Luke is your modern-day quadruple threat – a man who can build, weld, fish, and cook… as long as it’s on a sandwich machine. Always the first to take his shirt off, you’ll know Luke’s on-site by the large ute parked out front.

The Boss when Marty’s not around, Luke’s work ethic and attention to detail is second to none. He can foresee the end build before it’s on a plan and uses his experience to optimise each element along the way.
