This project – for a return Schmidt Construction client – saw the reinvention of a classic single-storey dwelling to become a comfortable, beautifully detailed, three-level smart home, maximising nearby harbour views whilst providing privacy from neighbouring properties. The project involved the creation of indoor and outdoor entertaining zones, private family spaces, fully self-contained guest accommodation and the addition of an in-ground pool.
Off-form concrete, aluminium cladding and bespoke red cedar panels, doors and joinery combine to dramatic effect across the exterior of the home, while the use of marble and oak finishes coupled with custom joinery and carefully repurposed materials deliver a stunning backdrop to the interiors.
